Artist's Comments

This is the same as before, but with a different exposure.
I wanted a dark, thunderstorm, type night. I'm not too sure if it worked, so I'll see what this version does.
Best on full view.

こんにちは!!!

Thank's, but really? I blush, just kidding, cheers.

Splendid composition, I love particulary the moove of the flag (it give a great deep on the picture)

this does look neat all put together. the banner is absolutely amazing looking. very well done.

however, it appears to me the rain is going in the wrong direction compared to the banner:0
my only suggestion outside of this would be to darken the woman next to the dragon. the dragon is so dark and she appears to almost have a spot light on her. if there were some way you could make the shadows on her body the same depth of dark as the dragon, i think she'd fit in next to it a little more.

i love the lighted "highway", if that is what it is. i love the sense of depth. it's often a hard thing for people to acheive near perfection on without just taking a photograph

Thanks, I was pleased with the flag. I got the look I was after, but I don't know if I could repeat it, hehe.

I did think of these point's, let me just say ....'artistic license', hehe.
The rain going the other way, threw the balance off. Let's just pretend that it's a swirly wind and the gust has blown from left to right, catching the base of the flag, and the rest of the flag is in re-coil , from a previous swirl, in the opposite direction, lol. I'm convinced, are you?
I did have load's of attempt's at doing the shadow's on the woman and Dragon. I never quite got it right. The darker version, was too difficult to make out what was what, so I lighten her. I did sort of want her to be illuminated, as if glowing slightly, in some sort of extra-human way. I am still new to digital, so I don't alway's know how to achieve some of the things, plus I got bored with it, before it was really finished. Same old story, lol.
The 'lightened highway', is an army, carrying torches.

i can see how that would have happened with the shading and the woman. i think you could leave the light on her skin the same and just make the shading darker.
as for the wind, you still don't have me convinced.:D if there were a swirling effect going on, the rain at the very least would be falling down rather than to the side, or perhaps in many different directions rather than one.
my boyfriend has a neat idea as to how to possibly acheive the effect you were speaking about. if you could make the rain drops coming from the front towards the castle in the back, larger in the beginning, and smaller further away, it would make the wind thing work all the more. i think it would add some neat perspective at the least anyway.
silly man. don't be so impatient. this is awesome. i know i'm one to talk, but really. just stick it out. even if that means just saving and quiting till some other time:)

I like this version better than the first. The storm is effective but I also like the lighting on the woman and the banner. Like the storm is starting to break and the light is directly on her. If she is your main subject than you've definately acheived a good focus with the lighting.

The 2 version of this are exelents, maybe a mix of this could better. Hard choice;)

This is an amazing piece. Every detail seems to belong and work with the other parts. The lighting works fine for me. The overall concept is great and her pose is expressive and fitting.
